At Food For All, we know that wellness is about more than just what we put in our bodies. Resting our minds through the practice of meditation can also be critical for improving health outcomes and reaching our goals. Serene Mind, an innovative new FFA program, is enhancing our clients’ lives through facilitated guided, phone-based meditation practices that meet them where they’re at, when they need it most. This program is yet another way FFA goes above and beyond to support the holistic health of our homebound neighbors in the Washington, D.C. region.
What Can Meditation Do For Me?
Meditation is a tool that brings balance to body, mind and soul, and supports a positive outlook on life. It’s like pressing the pause button on life’s noise. You sit still, breathe gently, and enjoy moments of peace. According to experts, meditation can help improve sleep and memory and reduce blood pressure, anxiety, and depression.
