Dear Friends,
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Food for All has been working hard to provide food for many DC area home-bound residents, especially the elderly, who live below the poverty line. On a day to day basis, many of these citizens are struggling to survive on incomes of $500 per month or less. Food for All provides an avenue of relief for these residents by delivering much needed groceries on a regular basis.
We have been doing this for over ten years; all through our volunteer program made possible by dedicated folks like yourself. Because we are a 100% volunteer organization ALL of the money generated to support the Food for All program goes directly towards food provision.
In 2012, with your help, Food for All:
· Delivered 2,700 boxes filled with groceries
· Served and brought smiles to over 8,100 of our residents
· Engaged over 1000 volunteers of all ages in hugely valuable and rewarding work
The BAD NEWS is the government cut our grant by 50%. Without YOUR help, this could be devastating to our home-bound residents who are dependent on this program. Without YOUR help we will not be able to provide the necessary food to these residents.
For just $15 you can provide one week’s worth of food for a family. For $60 you can provide a month’s worth of food. For $150 you can support 10 families for an entire week.
Please make a donation to help save this program from being cut in half!!
Your support changes lives, help us do more!
Sincerely,
Peter Sage
Executive Director
P.S. Your help in supporting Food for All will bring food to those in real need. A donation would go a long way. Thank you.
