Carmella Conti – Site Coordinator

Carmella has lived in Washington, D.C. since 1980. After graduating from George Washington University, she started her teaching career for Fairfax County Public Schools. In 2010 she received her Master’s Degree in Special Education and continues to works with students with special needs. When Carmella is not working, she is somewhat of a regular local fixture on 17th Street and the DuPont neighborhood area. Aside from her charismatic personality, Carmella is most well-known because of her affinity and love for dogs and animals. She is most often seen walking her equally well known and very popular golden retriever, Linkin or hanging out chatting with neighbors and friends. Carmella was introduced to Food for All DC in the spring of 2011. Throughout the years, she has always made a point to give back to her community by volunteering for different organizations yearly. Within a short period of time, the opportunity to become a more permanent volunteer for us presented itself in the winter of 2011. Foof for All DC has now become a permanent place in which she can give back and be involved year round with a great group of people.
